Everyone can become an innovator

Young inventors presented their projects at St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum. In the context of the round table "School patent: IP leaders" online presentations of ideas of students from gymnasiums and schools from Bryansk, Voronezh, Kazan, Saratov and Ukhta were held. Young inventors told about the original mobile applications, robots and solutions in the field of computer design.

Patent Attorney of Russia and Eurasia Ksenia Nasonova reminded the participants that the holder of the intellectual property right may be a schoolboy. A young man at the age of 14 receives a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and has every right to receive a patent for his invention. As the experience of Rospatent shows, often young innovators offer ideas that nobody has ever thought of before, but in reality they are simple and original.

Participants of the roundtable heard about the activities of the World Intellectual Property Organization's Center for Support of Technologies and Innovations. Since 2009, Russia has been actively implementing a unique project - the contest "School patent - a step into the future!", created to activate children's ingenuity. The branches of the project have been opened in eight regions of Russia, and the headquarters are located in St. Petersburg. Within the framework of the project, a competition of inventions is held, mobile expositions are organized. The exhibition of St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum presents works by young innovators.

Young inventors will be supported in the patriotic movement "Unarmy". Representatives of the regional branch of the voluntary organization told about the youth movement and support of technical creativity in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
